Vibration transmitters are an important part of a complete vibration measurement system. They are signal conditioning systems made to provide calibrated 4-20 mA output from proximity probes to Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems. The system consists of sensors that measure small changes in the motion of different types of reciprocating and rotating machinery.

Though there are a number of potential applications, they are most frequently used to monitor the conditions of pumps, fans, motors, turbines, and compressors. They are so useful in these applications because they provide a proximity output to the control system without the need of a monitoring system. These transmitter devices provide early warning of changes in machine condition. The signal provided can indicate issues like misalignment, unbalance, looseness, wear, or other mechanical faults. Regular wear and tear on a machine can also reduce the safety of the machine, putting your employees and your process in a bad situation. Detecting these issues early can help maintain the most optimal machine operation, while also helping to prevent serious faults that can cause costly repairs.
